Home to hundreds of historic Bahamian artifacts, documents and photographs, the museum also features sculptures by artist James Mastin, paintings by artist Alton Lowe, and several model ships created by its namesake, Albert Lowe.

In the downstairs Wrecker’s Gallery, an extensive photo exhibit documents four decades of cultural events on Green Turtle Cay.

In the rear room of the main museum building, you’ll find a number of publications about Abaconian and Bahamian life and history for purchase, as well as prints of select Alton Lowe paintings, which make charming souvenirs.

The Albert Lowe Museum is located on Parliament Street, in the heart of New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids younger than 12. For more information, contact the museum at (242) 365-4094.
