    OK Amanda – you’ve got me stumped. Don’t know that I’ve seen a Bermuda cherry before. Are they edible once the ripen or just ornamental?

      And – then – I saw and clicked on the link you provided. They are edible! I’ll have to watch for them next time I visit and hope they are ripe. I’ll also check locally to see if anyone makes and sells jelly/jam. Are they used in baking at all? Cobbler, pie, dried and added to sweet bread?

      They are edible, but generally very tart! Much more so than regular cherries. We used to eat them as kids, but I’m not sure many people cook with them… I do know they’re very high in vitamin C, though.
