GTC’s Lowe Art Gallery Opens for the Season

Green Turtle Cay's Lowe Art Gallery Opens for the Season The Lowe Art Gallery on Green Turtle Cay — which features a selection of oil paintings by Bahamian fine artist and Green Turtle Cay native Alton Lowe and sculptures by James Mastin — opens this morning for the spring/summer season.

Alton’s paintings of Bahamian people, island scenes, tropical flowers and wildlife hang in collections around the globe and have been featured on more than a hundred Bahamian postage stamps. James Mastin’s work is featured in public installations in Green Turtle Cay’s Memorial Sculpture Garden as well as in Key West, St. Maarten and Port au Prince, Haiti.

All items on exhibit at the Lowe Art Gallery are available for purchase. Limited edition prints of select Alton Lowe paintings are also available at the Albert Lowe Museum in New Plymouth.

Located just a few minutes north of the New Plymouth settlement (look for the signs identifying the driveway), the Lowe Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, or by appointment at 365-4264 until mid-July.
